1 John 3:16-18 By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

What is this team?

What better way is there for members of World Gospel Church to love each other than by being available to help one another as specific questions and needs arise? The Love InDeed Team is designed to field requests from church members seeking advice or possibly help in areas dealing with the home, auto, family or food and linking willing fellow members with those requests. Please be effective witnesses of God’s love within our church community by volunteering your special areas of expertise (and we all have them) to serve your brothers and sisters in Christ.

How Love InDeed Works.

Based on the Love InDeed survey results, a list of volunteers will be compiled. Individuals may be asked to help when a specific request fits within their skill area. Help requests received at the church office will be forwarded to coordinators knowledgeable about that requested area. The coordinators in turn will assess the request then connect the person seeking help to an available volunteer.

The result:

WGC community members benefit from the knowledge and skills of fellow members. Requesters may be a new widow dealing with a car issue for the first time, a harried young mother needing help with the kids, an older member needing a ride to the doctors or grocery store, or an individual seeking advice about solving a home repair problem. Responders may be someone who loves and is knowledgeable about cars, a mother or grandmother whose family is grown and flown, a kind person with a car and a bit of time to spare for a friend, or a seasoned homeowner. We each have needs and can also meet needs. By working together and helping each other, we not only “love in word or talk but in deed and in truth” as well.
