Children are a gift from God and we take our responsibility for them very seriously. Here children will meet God as their friend. They grow in that friendship until they develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We strive for a fun, safe environment that fosters loving God and people as we teach our children the foundation of the Christian faith. On Sundays children can participate in age-appropriate Sunday school classes, Kids Worship and Nursery. On Wednesdays we have AWANA, a Scripture-based program for ages 3 and up.
Nursery is provided each Sunday morning for children up through 4 years old. We combine all nursery-aged children for the first service and then during Sunday School and the second service the children are split into Infants, Toddlers and Preschool. An Infant is defined as a newborn through steady walker and a Toddler is a child who is a steady walker through 2 years of age. If you have any questions or would like to serve in nursery, contact the church office or Nursery Director Mary Pifer at 812-298-4070.
Kids Worship is offered for children ages 5 years old through 3rd grade during the 9:30 am Sunday (Summer schedule through Aug. 5) morning worship service. The children are dismissed just before the sermon. Kids Worship is located in the lower level Education Wing in the Children's Multi-Purpose Room (E4). For questions or to serve on the Kids Worship Team, contact Children's Ministry Director Rachel Dawn Hollingsworth.
Clubs will meet from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday evenings through September 5 through December 12, 2018.
Cubbies® celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers (3- to 5-year olds) by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word and helps you lead your child to God early so your child will respect and trust Him for life.
Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. Sparkies clubbers explore the biographies of people of the Bible from a new portion of Scripture, memorize Bible verses, complete handbook activities, and compete in fun games.
T&T engages third- through fifth-graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ's grace. Handbooks and large-group lessons deepen a child's knowledge about God and His Word and teach how to put that knowledge into action in everyday life.
